AidsJourneys.Org is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian project of Shalom Community Christian Church. The design work was done free of charge through the generosity of Rawcom Internet Services, Inc., who provides hosting
to us at cost. Our staff is a team of dedicated volunteers. We hope to make the site continue to grow, with additional information, online resources, support groups, educational materials, seminars, and eventually 24 hour audio streaming (AidsJourneys Radio).
Even with volunteers, there's overhead in a project such as this. While we keep our expenses VERY LOW, we incur them. Online streaming, for example, is fairly expensive because we must pay for bandwidth.
As AidsJourneys.org expands our online and offline resources, we incur additional expenses -- including access fees for some resources and licenses to distribute some resources free to our users.
Even though Rawcom Internet Services, Inc. provides hosting at cost, there's some expense incurred in even minimal hosting fees (well below retail).
Therefore, we need and appreciate your help. We need volunteers to manage online email support lists,
to gather research and to act as reporters or "stringers" for AidsJourneys Radio. We need editors and copywriters
to help prepare educational pages and our News and Views pages. We need you and we need money for bandwidth. We also
need donations to help Aidsjourneys.org to become a separate 501(c)3 organization, affiliated with but separate from Shalom Community Christian Church.
